Wilson - A double amputee

submitted by limbs2018 on 10/01/18 1

Wilson is a double amputee. His legs were severed when he was run over by a train as a child. Since then he has not been able to use public transportation and he gets around on his custom 3-wheel bicycle that he made for himself from used parts. Before this video he had not walked in 13 years. We gave Wilson these two new legs, which incorporate the LIMBS M1 polycentric knee, for free. We also included out first implementation of the DucLoi SACH polypropylene foot designed by the DucLoi clinic in Vietnam and design provided by the Prosthetic Outreach Foundation. I would also like to thank my friend Chuck Gilmore for donating his personal composition. You can find Chuck on YouTube: PianoManChuck All our patients are low-income and have no where else to turn for prosthetic services except our center. Even the government sends patients to our center since they do not have the facilities to provide for these patients.
