These are extremely rare to see today, as most (almost all) Native Americans live in modern houses and apartments. These are recreated based on information from various tribes. Native Americans used a wide variety of homes, the most well-known ones are: Longhouses, Wigwams, Teepees, Chickees, Adobe Houses, Igloos, Grass Houses and Wattle and Daub houses. 0:00 Palisade or Stake-wall that has sharp tree trunks creating a fence for the village. 0:11 A Shawnee home around 1550 A.D 1:04 A shield and some artifacts 1:34 A Hopewell home around 100 B.C. This is a thatched house 4:07 Houses used by Fort Ancient people around 1250 A.D. You can see how they build the framework with wooden sticks.
