Shortage of land & women. Problematic for Mississippi male farmers

submitted by Madamxtra on 08/04/18 1

I was kicking it w/a few farmers I met in Mississippi, while we were taking a break. Discussion was about shortage of land available on which they needed to expand their farming operation. Much of the land was said to had been taken up by corporate farmers, so we were kicking around a few suggestions on getting that matter solved. Another problem could be shortage of women as well, as it was suggested that women have been leaving the farm & headed out to the city because it's felt that today's women dont want to do anything farm related to help out. This unfortunate situation may result in male farmers in Mississippi having to live & work w/out women around. This video was recorded during my farming field trip to Mississippi on June 28, 2012 in Natchez, MS.
