filmed with gopro hero 3 black edition on chesty mount in 1080/60p (1080/30p shown) using windows movie maker because I built a new computer and can't find my pinnacle studio disk, so the image quality sucks. I wanted to use the zoom H1 for better sound capture, but it would have been a hassle without the proper program to sync. other wise the GoPro sounds pretty accurate. 1000 miles later on the ruckus I do a detailed review for any one thinking of buying one or the Yoshimura exhaust. I always wondered before I got mine how it did on dirt roads, so I covered that the most seeing how not a lot of reviews like that. I think the Yoshimura is the best upgrade to do first. When it slid on the muffler side it was mostly untouched due to its triangular shape. only the rubber shock mount snapped, and the leading edge on the inlet side scraped just a little. with the silencer set up (I forget the measurements) you basically want the outlet to be as small as the header, I plan on using another reducer to make it perfect. do not use steel wool, this will fuck with the fuel to air ratio. the manual says 87 octane, which works great stock, but I found that 85 octane runs much smoother after the new set up (%10+ ethanol will also reduce power and mileage). I say the hand made cone intake is stupid, because if you were to compare the total surface area of the stock replacement to the oil breathers most people use, the breathers are less, and more susceptible to dirt and water. when I said centrifugal, I meant gyroscopic force, as in the mass, speed, and circumference of the tires. Honestly, my Trek 1.1 sport bicycle with 29"X1" tires feels more stable, makes you wonder why they don't make scooters like that because it's less rolling and hub resistance. sorry about the slow talking, id been up around 24 hours before doing this, trying to adjust to night shift. the winds here average at about 25mph all day which is really annoying, at about 40mph head wind it would slow me down to 25mph or less. it seems like once the engine bogs down to a certain rpm all of the little power you have disappears, slowing down to 10mph (may be the jetting issue) A few other basic things: top speed = 43mph average stock speed 30mph average yosh/filter/jetted speed 35mph currently a pulley kit would not be worth it, because I only hit 43mph slightly downhill with no wind. I plan on looking like a douche bag this year by riding to Sturgis, but I want to at least get the shorty handlebar kit, lowered seat, and lower frame brace before hand. I also plan on possibly switching to 12" rims to open up my tire selection and smooth the ride a little. in all reality, I may just switch to a CBR 250 as an affordable secondary mode of transportation. I still like the ruckus because it's different from every thing else.
