How to Make a Low Budget Short Film. Or how to make a cheap short film. Basically this includes taking advantage of your resources, what you have available and building a story around what you have access to. In this video I discuss about the lessons I've learned about making a low budget film while in high school. This is Low Budget Filmmaking If you are thinking of making a short film, but you lack the latest resources or tech, don't worry. What's more powerful than the latest camera gear and tech is a good story. No matter how good the quality of the camera is, if the story's bland or uninspiring, no one is going to watch it. So, how to do you make a cheap short film? This video quickly focuses on making a cheap short film by taking advantage of what you have available right now, and building a story around it. If you have a computer and internet, make a short hacker thriller, if you got a kid brother and a soccer ball, make a short film about passion vs responsibility. You can come up with something that will cost cheap and will be easier to manage, especially if you are doing this for the first time. And don't forget to learn how to make mistakes while shooting your low budget short film, because that is where all the creativity comes in. This video is apart of filmmaking tips and tricks series, that I will be working on for the next couple of months.
