It's not good for YouTube or Website videos but I think they can be great for social media post like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Keep watching to learn my Top 5 tips for better smartphone video production! Hi, I'm Chase Turnbow, Founder of Chase Me Films where we help mid-sized companies create high quality video that generates more leads, moves people to action, and increases profit. Most smartphones have HD video capabilities but so many people are puzzled by why their videos still suck? I have learned that you can create high quality videos with your smartphone but there are a few tips, tricks, and secrets that you must know first. I'd like to share with you the Top 5 Tips for better smartphone videos: 1. Record in Widescreen at all times. Nothing looks more amateur than filming vertically. The goal is to make your video look like it was filmed on a camcorder and camcorders NEVER film vertically. 2. Stabilize your Phone. The tiny shake phone videos produce look awful. I recommend getting an adapter for your phone to be attached to a tripod. 3. Record Better Audio. Get a lapel mic that goes into your phone or at least film in a quiet place without too many hard echoey surfaces for best audio quality. 4. Record in natural lighting. Smartphone videos greatly suffer from poor lighting. I recommend filming outside or in front of a window that lets in great natural light. 5. Frame your Shot. Make sure to filming at eye level to the subject and don't be too close or far away. Shooting from the waist up looks the best in most cases. I hope you enjoyed this video.
