Boxing Clever produced a short film IMAGINED SLIGHTS that won the Best Film top honors at the 2012 St. Louis 48 Hour Film Project. A total of 71 films were submitted this year and fifteen made it to the Best Of screening June 14th at the Tivoli Theatre in the Delmar Loop. As Best Film, IMAGINED SLIGHTS will go on to the National 48 Hour Film Project screening in Los Angeles. The 48 Hour Film Project is a film competition held in several cities across the world each year (96 cities in six continents). Anyone can participate, and the rules are quite simple: Make a short film from start to finish in 48 hours but you won't know what genre you're filming for until the kickoff meeting. In fact, you're also given a required prop, a line for the script and a character's name and occupation. All of these requirements are given to you right before the clock starts ticking and you madly dash out to begin producing your film! This year the prop was a checkbook, the line was "Where are we going?" and a character named Duane or Diane Trammel that also happens to be a puppeteer. The filmakers were briefed Friday evening June 1 and films were turned in two days later, June 3rd at 7:30pm. The St. Louis film community had incredible entries this year. Boxing Clever is so proud to be a part of it.
