THE LAVENDER EFFECT® launched the 1st Gender Fluid / Non-Binary Oral History Project on June 30th, 2018. The project documents stories of Gender Fluid / Non-Binary / Transgender Pioneers with the support of the City of West Hollywood’s WeHo Arts Program and IBM’s Community Grants Program. These in-depth interviews explore the emerging new chapter of the LGBTQ+ Movement. “This dynamic history in the making is being documented to celebrate diversity, raise conciseness, and educate the public.” – Andy Sacher, Project Director. Interviewees include Addison Rose Vincent, Ann Thomas, Aydin Olson-Kennedy, Casey Weitzman, Chandler Wilson, Jaxon Cat Williams, Maximilliana, and RBO. The Oral History Project captures video testimonies from members of the LGBTQ+ community and supportive allies who were/are integral participants or witnesses to a historic event or movement. These recordings are being produced at the highest standards possible utilizing USC’s Shoah Foundation guidelines. THE LAVENDER EFFECT® is a 501(c)3 non-profit project of Community Partners that is Advancing the Future of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+) Cultural Heritage.
