Please ensure you own a copy of the original unmodified film. //// This is a prequel trilogy edit, aimed at creating a single movie using footage from the three official releases. If you don't want to watch the whole thing to see what is different, here's a list of the major changes: 1. The three movies were reduced to chapters, with both The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones now having a running time of 26 minutes, while Revenge of the Sith has 32 minutes. This amounts to a relatively short movie length of 84 minutes. 2. The chosen-one aspect of Anakin's life has been completely removed, as well as the whole midichlorian thing. 3. Yoda never uses a lightsaber. 4. Jar Jar Binks has been almost completely eradicated. 5. Anakin and Padmé never marry. They obviously have a physical thing going but I had to cut their love dialogue completely, because in no possible way she would fall in love with him as it was. I preferred to leave it as a fling that ended up in accidental pregnancy. 6. I tried to make the Jedi no longer the annoyingly dogmatic purists they were in the official films. I don't think the robotic way of life they champion makes any sense. 7. Count Dooku doesn't exist and General Grievous is mentioned once, but has no effect on the plot whatsoever. 8. We only see an apparition of Palpatine as Darth Sidious in the third chapter, because it is too easy to relate their image as it was presented in the official releases. Now, you won't see him being the master puppeteer, but rather see subtle hints that he's the one behind it all. 9. Removed a lot of obvious and dumb phrases from the dialogue. More specific, minor changes: Chapter 1: • No space battle and no Gungan army. • I couldn't remove some boring politics scenes because they were instrumental to the plot. There's only so much you can fix if the source material is as broken as this is. • No Tatooine at all. Actually, the entire first half of the movie was cut out, except for some Naboo scenes which were integrated into the party's return to the planet from Coruscant. Chapter 2: • Both attempts on Padmé's life were cut, the chapter begins amidst the chase scene that ensues after the second attempt. • Obi-wan and Anakin do not see Jango Fett fleeing after shooting the poison dart, as their reaction on the official movie makes no sense to me: they could simply hop on a speeder and go after him, since he is flying on a jetpack and would not get very far with it. • Obi-wan's trip to the Jedi Archives and his interruption of Yoda's class were removed. • As I could not create a better conclusion, Obi-wan simply fails to retrieve anything from his confrontation with Jango Fett. • Anakin and Padmé's little vacation on Naboo is almost entirely gone. • The chapter ends with Anakin mourning his mother's death. We never get to Geonosis, so there's no Droid Factory, no Arena and no Count Dooku versus Anakin/Obi-wan or Yoda. Chapter 3: • The rescue of Palpatine was cut, as were Count Dooku and General Grievous. • Obi-wan's campaign on Utapau was cut, the only remaining part of it being when Order 66 is executed. • Mace Windu's attempt at imprisoning Palpatine and his subsequent death were cut. • No Anakin killing younglings. • No Yoda versus Darth Sidious. • Anakin does not suddenly become obsessed with power after turning to the dark side, instead just appearing to have been a victim of his surroundings while standing for the right thing. • Also, Anakin doesn’t strangulate Padmé. She dies like in his visions, as she is destined to die, not because of him choking her to death. • A good portion of the final duel was cut, just because it is too damn long in the official movie.
