This deeply emotional song, "Touch Me in the Morning," written by Michael Masser and Ron Miller and recorded by Diana Ross on the Motown label was released as a single in 1973 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. It was included in the album of the same name and can also be found on the CD, The Definitive Collection on Motown. On a personal note it evokes very sad memories of August 1973.
