The book is being released as a Hollywood film later this year. Garrard is being played by Lucas Hedges, the film also stars Troye Sivan, Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman. Apparently people can smell Oscars! I think this is a hopeful interview, even though Garrard went through something so difficult. He is living proof that you can come through the end of something like the ex gay movement and not just survive, but thrive.
