INFRARED WITH SONY RX0

submitted by backboneca on 06/18/18 1

Shooting in InfraRed using our Ribcage RX0 - a modified Sony RX0 that features MFT or C-Mount configurations. Another great advantage to our modification is that you can easily remove the IR blocking filter allowing you to shoot 'full spectrum', or in the wavelength of your choice with custom filters. In this case we used one of the 'Cold Mirror' filters available in our online shop. Those filters block all light visible to the naked eye and let only InfraRed light reach the sensor. Most vegetation reflects almost all Infrared so leaves and grass appear bright white for a really unique look. If you use an IR illuminator you can also shoot in what's total darkness to the naked eye. Equipment Used: • Ribcage RX0 with internal Cold Mirror filter - B&W picture profile used • Atomos Shogun Inferno • GripGear Motion Control rig • 25mm f1.8 MFT lens • Rokinon f1.5 85mm MFT lens For more information please visit www.back-bone.ca
