r/bodyweightfitness is holding an active hang challenge where you take a video of yourself to see how long you could hang for in an active, dead hang. (Link: redd.it/4pj6ed) An active dead hang is done with straight arms but the shoulders must be depressed down, away from the ears the entire time which requires strength. (As opposed to a passive dead hang, where the arms are straight but you allow the shoulders to ride up and cover the ears.) Since it's a boring thing to watch a static hold... I thought to make the video a little more interesting by doing it at Ol' Muscle Beach with my buddy Steve flowing next to me on the bar and another treat is you could see my buddy Raf on the traveling rings in the background.
