WTF? Filmed this light/orb/craft this evening above Bushey/Watford at 5.40pm (GMT) It was very bright, and got brighter at times. The light was sationary for a while. It was very low and made no noise as you can tell from the video. It disappeared and reappeared further away. This is not a plane as it has no blinking tail/wing lights. It is not a helicopter as it made no noise and again had no blinking lights. It IS NOT a lantern, because a lantern DOES NOT fully go out and then light itself up again.
