We used an integrated remediation solution to remediate LNAPL and dissolved contamination located underneath a fuelling station on an active train care depot and next to a mainline station. Augmented Pump & Treat, In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO), and Enhanced Natural Attenuation were integrated to successfully address the groundwater contamination in situ, in the safest, most efficient manner possible (avoiding the need for excavation). This project was a finalist in the UK Rail Industry Awards (UKRIA 2018) in the category Environmental & Sustainability.
