If I Were A Rich Man: The Life of Jan Peerce

submitted by Marvin's Underground Music Ondemand on 05/08/18 1

Jan Peerce was a great singer, universally acclaimed as one of the outstanding artists of his time, a role model of the American Dream. Beginning with Peerce's roots on the Lower East Side of New York, this film takes us uptown and around the world with him. We view his life through music performance, through interviews with famed concert violinist (and host) Isaac Stern, and through compelling footage, some of which has never been publicly shown before. The documentary celebrates the dynamic, entertaining and witty personality of this legendary singer. This will be released on DVD in February 2011.
