'My Favourite Opera -- Katia Ricciarelli' portraits the Italian star soprano Katia Ricciarelli. Katia Ricciarelli is best known for her roles in Rossini, Verdi and Puccini Operas but also appeared as Desdemona in Franco Zeffirelli's film version of Verdi's Otello and won the best actress prize Nastro d'Argento, for her role in Pupi Avati's La seconda notte di nozze. This documentary shows soprano Katia Ricciarelli during rehearsals and performances of her favorite Opera ‘I Capuleti e i Montecchi’ from Vincenzo Bellini. She communicates all her passion for this music to the listener.
