In the stop-motion animated movie “Isle of Dogs,” the director Wes Anderson stages a giant dog fight on a trash island. He and the animation team created a large, dark hill using miniature cathode ray tubes. They created smoke in the fight using cotton wadding. And they made water out of plastic wrap.
