Pluto was considered the ninth planet in the solar system for more than 75 years, but in 2006 it was reclassified as a dwarf planet. In 2015 NASA's New Horizons space probe flew by Pluto, gathering high definition images and new information about Pluto and its satellite Charon, as well as its other moons and objects in the Kuiper Belt.
