David Rothenberg, a professor of philosophy and music at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, likes to make music in nature...with nature. With clarinet, saxophone or electronic synthesizer, he has accompanied choruses of bellowing whales, chirping katydids and drumming mosquitoes.
