Bolenbaugh has made a name for himself as a vocal critic of the cleanup efforts. He has alleged that workers were routinely told to cover up oil at contaminated sites with grass cuttings and soil. His accusations echo those of other workers who were part of a Michigan Messenger investigation during the cleanup efforts.
