Karli showed signs and symptoms of dyslexia. She could not read at all. After reading inventory testing and dyslexia tests, she was diagnosed as NOT having dyslexia or being dyslexic. The tests just could NOT find any reason why she was unable to read. She struggled with reading, math, handwriting, coloring within the lines and so much more. Also, Karli was hyperactive, fidgety, and had problems with attention. Then, Karli's parents found a developmental optometrist who diagnosed Karli with learning-related vision problems, such as poor eye tracking, convergence insufficiency, eye teaming dysfunction, etc. Karli did in-office vision therapy with supervised eye exercises and her life has changed!!! She now reads 300 page chapter books with small print fluently. She is getting high reading scores on the reading inventory tests in school. She loves to read now! Karli had Vision Therapy with Dr. Nancy Guenthner of Aspire Vision Training Center in Round Rock, TX. Find them online at www.aspirevisioncare.com.
