Want to learn more ways to use essential oils? Come to Aromahead Institute's FREE online class, the Introduction to Essential Oils! tiny.cc/anes9x This is an Aromatherapy inhaler recipe to help you Breathe and Sleep! It’s made with three essential oils that are great for reducing congestion, and for helping you feel relaxed. Their overall effect is to make it easier for you to get to sleep when you have a cold (or allergies, or a sinus infection . . . you get the idea!). An Aromatherapy inhaler consists of a piece of cotton soaked in essential oils. The cotton then goes into a “sleeve,” and a bottom section snaps into place to hold the entire thing together. The essential oils I’m using are: 5 drops Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) (1:02) 5 drops Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana) (1:35) 5 drops Orange (Citrus sinensis) (2:01) There are several ways to make an Aromatherapy inhaler, and the first way is to put the cotton insert in a little bowl. (This is a good technique if you’re not sure about your recipe.) The second way (3:01) is just to put your cotton insert into the inhaler sleeve, then drop your essential oils right into the inhaler. (This is a simple way to make an Aromatherapy inhaler if you know you love your recipe.) Good news! Aromatics International recently started carrying inhalers with organic wicks. You can find those here: www.aromatics.com/products/accessories/blank-inhaler-with-organic-cotton-wicks When you’re done, don’t clean out your small bowl. Let it sit on your counter so the essential oils can evaporate into the air and make the room smell amazing! Subscribe to Aromahead's YouTube channel for updates when I post new recipes!
