He has said of his own art that he is not a perfectionist but more an expressionist. A writer and performer since his teenage years, John has moved from music and theatre to poetry and is a regular contributor to Melbourne’s Spoken Word scene. Allowing others the opportunity to express themselves is equally important, so John is also a freelance photographer. He works with the credo “It is a privilege to be let into someone else’s world”. This love of dialogue and story-telling has led to the creation of “People I Wish You Could Meet”, an ongoing photo project of those who are seeking to make a beautiful difference. John is also one of the top five huggers in the world. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
