Read more about database clustering: www.calebcurry.com/blogs/database-clustering/intro-to-database-clustering Get ClusterControl: bit.ly/ClusterControl To save time and resources, we are going to be using virtual machines for each one of our nodes. To do this we are going to need VirtualBox: www.virtualbox.org/wiki/VirtualBox Once we have VirtualBox, we need to download the operating System. Now, if you are learning this material to apply it to a production environment, you will want to make sure a particular clustering software is available on the right operating system. For example, the Oracle Galera Cluster is currently not offered on odd versions of Linux. Only even. Now we are going to actually install 3 of these operating systems, but you don’t have to go through this entire process. Once you have one completely set up, you can do a full clone and skip the installation process, you might just have to change their MAC address or something like that. www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Support me! www.patreon.com/calebcurry Subscribe to my newsletter: eepurl.com/-8qtH Donate!: bit.ly/DonateCTVM2. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Additional Links~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More content: CalebCurry.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/CalebTheVideoMaker Google+: plus.google.com/+CalebTheVideoMaker2 Twitter: twitter.com/calebCurry Amazing Web Hosting - www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?1487063 (The best web hosting for a cheap price!)
