These are my axolotls! The male almost died about 4 weeks ago before this post. He jumped out of his tank and fell on to the floor. He must have been on the floor the whole night. He was barely moving when I found him. I quickly put in in a tupperware and left him in the fridge. He was in there regenerating for 28 hours. When I took him out, he was able to eat some. It took him about 4 days to recover. Look at him now! These creatures have amazing regenerating powers! Cut off their limbs, they will grow back. They can even regenerate an eye, a jaw, and even part of a heart. Researchers are still figuring out their secret. Hopefully one day, they will be of help to humans. I must say this is more exciting to post than my music vids. I don't usually post videos of other topics on my channel as it is only dedicated to my music. However, this is one of the better clips of the mating ritual of the axolotls I have seen here on youtube. You can truly see the male depositing his "sperm sacs" on the ground (at 0:53) and then pushes the females to pick them up. Since this channel is mainly for my music, I provided my Hawaiian song, "Forevermore" as the background tune to their mating dance. Hope you like it!
