"Sit Down I Think I Love You" written by group member, Stephen Stills, was recorded by Buffalo Springfield in August 1966 at Gold Star Studios, Los Angeles, California with the lead vocal done by Stephen Stills and Richie Furay. The song appeared on Buffalo Springfield, the group's debut album released on December 5, 1966 on Atco Records. The album is available on CD, and the song can also be found on the Retrospective CD on Atco. The members of Buffalo Springfield at that time were Richie Furay - rhythm guitar, vocals; Dewey Martin - drummer, backing vocals; Bruce Palmer - bass guitar; Stephen Stills - lead guitar, keyboards, vocals.; and Neil Young - lead guitar, harmonica, piano, vocals.
