A list of the 50 highest scores in the history of Eurovision. This video was made in 2015, before the 2016 changes to the voting system where the amount of points was calculated in a different way. The ranking is purely based on the amount of points that an entry scored. Because the 12-point system has only been in use since 1975 and more countries have been introduced to the voting pool over the years, this list obviously leans towards the newer songs. Although not without a few surprises! If two acts have the same amount of points, they have been ranked according to their final score and then chronologically by earliest year, following the logic that due to the increase in the amount of voting countries, receiving 180 points would be easier in 2014 than it would have been in 2004.
