May means Magic (Greek). The 1st of May means the first day of Magic. Maya (Magic) was also the name of an Egyptian Official and the name of the south Americans known as "The Mayans" (The Magicians). The Maypole is a Satanic Freemason Ritual celebrating the Pyramid and the Flying Saucer.
