John Ritter comes into the hardware store looking for antique door knobs, and Lucy almost cripples him with a series of accidents, advertantly injuring his hands and foot. Lucy takes him home to help him recuperate. After the lead actress drops out, Lucy gets a part in the play John is doing at the Pasadena Playhouse.
