An expectation to attachment is when we believe that when we attain different things, we will be enough. An example of that would be when I get my new car, I will be happy. When I get my new relationship, I will be happy. When I get my new house, I will be happy. When I have a million dollars in the bank, I will be happy. In truth, with an expectation to attachment, when you get your new car, you want a better one. When you get your new relationship, you want a different one. When you get the new house, you will want a better one. And when you get a million dollars in the bank, you will want two. So expectations to attachments really are misdirections. And we really should coach people to strive to be enough without what they think they need to be happy, because once they then receive something, they can appreciate it. Call 562-420-8884 chiroman.com
