Canada Day was a great opportunity for a Blue Pill Family Day in the Old Port of Montreal with my son. Unfortunately, Daddy wasn't here with us but he did go to the parade with us earlier. We had a great time even though I was not at all pleased to learn that our formerly city-owned amusement park, La Ronde, has been bought out by Six Flags and a bunch of other large local businesses are now owned by American mega-corporations. Damn corporatism! Anyhow, if you come to Montreal,make sure you visit the old part of the city and check out all the fun stuff at the Old Port including the Bateau Mouche day cruise (kids under 6 go free!) BTW If you're looking for all free fun, go to the festivals on St Catherine street where you can see music and comedy shows outdoors for zero bucks all summer long.
