In fact, I was surprised that this was the first batch of babies they have used this on because I had heard about it so long ago. Strange things also happen in nature without any help from genetic alterations, such as chimeras, but I think it is dangerous to be intentionally tampering with genes in this way and could lead to all kinds of awful things down the road.
