This is an extremely rare copy of the "John Denver Rocky Mountain Christmas Special", which originally aired December 10, 1975. This special was viewed by sixty-five million people - the largest audience to that time for an ABC music program. This may indeed be the only public recording of this program in existence - it's the only copy I have ever seen in my search for it... This copy was digitized from a VHS recording of an actual repeat broadcast from 1977, complete with vintage 1970's commercials. It's not a perfect copy, but it's all that's left to remember this special moment by...
