He apparently had an episode of PANDAS, but by the time we got to the neurologist, the symptoms and strep titers were normal, so they didn't see it. We were fortunate to have a very good family doctor who gave our son access to treatment with antibiotics all summer and this helped a lot. He is healthy and happy again and we are overjoyed to have him back, but we are scared to death of him getting sick with this again, especially because it is hard to get treatment for this in Canada. There is a lot of PANDAS denial up here and they won't even let you give your kid long-term antibiotics. We are kind of forced to just pray and seek alternative treatment like homeopathics, so this is what we will do and hope for the best.
