Joseph Molloy, an actor, faces two charges under the theft act of obtaining and attempting to obtain money by deception. Fans of Doctor Who will recognise a few faces in this one. Patrick Troughton, best known as the 2nd Doctor, plays Joseph Molloy. Bernard Archard (Prosecuting Counsel) also appeared as Bragen in Troughton's first story in Doctor Who, "The Power of the Daleks". Derek Francis, here playing Justice Hastings, appeared as Nero opposite William Hartnell's Doctor in "The Romans". Witness Bedelia Conroy is played by Elizabeth Dawn, best known as Vera Duckworth in Coronation Street. Sylvia Kay, here as Marianne Strauss, may be best remembered as Daphne Warrender in the sitcom "Just Good Friends".
