Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky John Lanchbery Philharmonia Orchestra This series of four videos includes what I believe to be the best moments in the music from the Nutcracker ballet. Tchaikovsky handpicked his own selections of eight pieces from the score to be played at concerts, calling it the Nutcracker Suite. My choices, on the other hand, leave out the Arabian Dance from the Nutcracker Suite and instead add the popular Decoration of the Christmas Tree and the lovely Waltz of the Snowflakes. ***Snowflakes Waltz begins at 2:26 (the choir at 4:16 is heavenly)***
