The Order 1886's story edited into a movie. There have been a number of strange murders in Whitechapel. Follow the mysterious Order of Her Majesty's Royal Knights as they investigate these deaths, and the conspiracy surrounding them in this alternate take on history. If you are unfamiliar with my work, I record footage from video games, and then edit that into movies. The goal is to create something that actually feels like a Hollywood movie, rather than just a compilation of cutscenes or gameplay. I want people to be able to enjoy the movie whether they've played the game or not, or even if they don't play video games at all. Even if you've played the game, watching it as a movie can allow the viewer to experience the story in a way they never have before. When you play a game, you often play across multiple game sessions for several hours, but if you sit down and watch the entire movie in one sitting, the story stays fresh in your mind the entire time. It's quite a different experience. Many youtubers like to edit together all the cutscenes, but the problem is that misses out on a good portion of the story, as for most games, there's a lot of story told during gameplay sections. My job is to figure out what pieces of gameplay to use to tell that story in a way where there's not too much gameplay distracting from the story, while making sure I don't leave the audience feeling confused because I cut an important moment out. I also need to make sure the story moves along smoothly while this is being done. Another thing I do that I guarantee no other youtubers do, is remove the HUD entirely, or at least attempt to do so wherever possible, using visual effects. I use Mocha Pro or Photoshop, removing elements frame by frame, when a simple crop/zoom can't be done without cutting too much off the image. This movie had a total of 149 visual effects shots in it. My next movie will be Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and I plan to begin work on it as soon as possible. Follow my Community on Playstation (user: morhinapg) to track my progress on the movie. What I do after Syndicate will depend on when I finish Syndicate. Most likely it will be Uncharted 4, but if I finish fast enough, I may have time to do Assassin's Creed Liberation before that. I will let you know in Syndicate's video description. As always, if you enjoy the movie, support the developers and buy the game!
