These photographs of Dundee Jute Stowers @ work in 1968 have never been seen in public until this very date 25-05-2011. They were captured by Lochee man, Chic Mitchell (who was himself a Stower) to preserve the memories of these men and the un-seen work they did for the Jute Industry in Dundee. He kindly handed them into me for my website which was a fantastic gesture! It's an honour to now show them to my fellow Dundonians and to anyone connected with the Jute Industry from around the world. They will never be forgotten that's for sure.
