The water was absolutely crystal clear this day and our boat rental customers enjoyed a full day on the water with their family and friends. The tide was going out making for some shallow water. This allows you to walk around the sandbar as it can get ankle deep in some places. Be sure to anchor a bit away from the actual sandbar on an outgoing tide so your boat doesn't get stuck as the tide goes out. Keep an eye on it and if you have to, you can pick up the anchor and push the boat away from the sandbar and reset the anchor. If the tide is coming in, you don't have to watch it as much, but we recommend you always keep an eye on the water levels at the Haulover sandbar and be sure to check the tide apps on your phone or ask us what time the tides are and we will write it down for you.
