Solar Panels bring hope for Bolivian mining community

submitted by Erik on 03/17/14 1

In a small Bolivian village the young people are leaving for the cities. Growing up without electricity and having labored since they were 7 years old on their families' farms, as they become adults they search for the means to live a modern life. Now Energetica, a non-profit Bolivian energy organization, has installed solar panels in thousands of homes as well as dozens of schools and health centers. With technological adaptations, children are returning to school and these communities have a better chance of surviving. Video by adamspencerphotography.com
