My name is Leon Richard and I am interested in joining the Texas Media team because everything that I do revolves around media. I have known about the Texas Media sequence for a year now and am more ready than ever to join. To give a brief summary for what I am currently doing, I assist two local Austin small businesses with their marketing and advertising efforts. Some of my basic functions include managing their social media pages, allocating budgets for direct mail, radio, and magazine, as well as just being an extra helping hand where needed. I'm always looking for the next best cost effective and realistic campaign, so taking Advertising 345J gave me that opportunity. During the presentations in Adv 345J I was able to hear several media campaigns and an array of intelligent ideas. These ideas helped me see the vast amount of ways a campaign can go. This is why I am encouraged to join the Texas Media cohort. I want to mend together great ideas with my peers to expand my understanding and creativity with media.
