Earl Grant - The End (HQ with Lyrics, 1958)

Earl Grant was a musician and vocalist best known for his 1958 recording of "The End". With music by Jimmy Krondes, lyrics by Sid Jacobson & backed by Charles Bud Dant and His Orchestra, Grant's recording of "The End" was released on the Decca label as a 45 single in September of 1958. The song quickly entered Billboard's Hot 100 and remained on the charts for 19 weeks, peaking in the #7 spot for the week of October 13th, 1958. It also reached the #16 position on Billboard's R&B charts. First time I heard this song, I thought it was Nat King Cole. It's another one of those seemingly "Forgotten 45s" I never get tired of listening to.
