The immortal classic by singer Pat Boone about young love ... that special, rare love that can only come in April. If you lose this kind of love in May or in summer, you'll be doomed to remember it, literally, until the grave. I know ... and so may some of you. In living color .. black and white would never do such a song justice. "April Love" was featured in the 1957 movie of the same name that Boone starred and sang in. The song was released around the time of the film, but ironically "April Love" did not reach #1 on Billboard until December 29, 1957 (#3 on Cash Box on December 21, 1957). How it fared in other countries, I do not know. The film itself, according to most film critics, was utterly forgettable, but the song went on to become iconic long after its life on the charts had ended.
