Joni James - Have You Heard (1952)

submitted by Marvin's Underground Music Ondemand on 01/03/18 1

Charted at #4 on Billboard in March 1953. Original Billboard review: "Joni James has a potent entry that could be a solid follow-up to her "Why Don't You Believe Me". The gal sells this new weeper balled in her own wistful style, over a big choral and orchestra backing. This could break through quickly and rack up some healthy sales. Rated 86 out of 100" Single released in December 1952. A remake of "Have You Heard" by the Duprees charted at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963/1964 (and #8 Adult Contemporary). Written by Lew Douglas, Charlie LaVere and Roy Rodde. B-side is "Wishing Ring".
