Ruby Nash Garnett and some of the other members of the Romantics all grew up together in Akron, Ohio and knew each other before the group formally got together. In early December 1962, Ruby and the Romantics recorded "Our Day Will Come" and it became a smash hit in early 1963. After "Our Day Will Come", Ruby and the Romantics were never able to duplicate the greatness of their smash hit on anything else they recorded.
