submitted by FranzTheMovie on 03/16/14 1

A Life Unexpected is a new documentary about the life of world-renowned Athletics Coach and Dunera Boy, Franz Stampfl - who produced over 350 Olympians, World Champions and National Champions from over 17 countries during his 60+ year career, including coaching Roger Bannister to break the Four Minute Mile in 1954.

At a time when we all need heroes and to be reminded of the power of one, this documentary tells the tale of one individual's amazing and unexpected life – showing all of us that anyone, anywhere can do anything if we just dare to believe.

This concept trailer has been produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Franz Stampfl's birth (November 18th, 2013) and features highlights from interviews filmed in Oxford UK, Dublin Ireland, Vienna Austria and Melbourne Australia. Interviewees featured in this teaser include: Sir Roger Bannister, Sir Christopher Chataway, John Landy, Ralph Doubell, Ulick O'Connor, Tim Lincoln (Merv Lincoln's son), Mike Sondheim and members of the Stampfl family.
