But Samarth's family didn't always approve of them, for good reason. The langur monkeys around Allapura village, in India's southeastern state of Karnataka, are aggressive with people. So when monkeys began to visit Samarth to beg for food, his family sent him to another village. But they say the monkeys made a ruckus till the boy returned. Now the langurs again come for Samarth and the bread he shares. Here, reportedly, they’re seeing if he’s the one under a blanket. Villagers say the boy has the favor of Hanuman, the Hindu monkey god. But monkeys can be unpredictable, and experts advise keeping children away. Boy and Wild Monkeys Make Unlikely Friends | Nat Geo Wild youtu.be/yJswkQGvSgc Nat Geo Wild www.youtube.com/user/NatGeoWild
