The Beauty of Nothingness - Alan Watts

submitted by Liket on 12/04/17 1

This animation is the Final Year Project of my individual assignment in the last semester of Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Creative Multimedia of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. Deeply inspired by the speech of Alan Watts, 'The State of Nothingness', I had come out with this experimental project to re-create a surreal dimension into the existence of lives and universe. In this motion graphic video, I represent the abstract of the speech by using different states of object and simulations to express and share the art of this speech by Alan Watts. This 3 minutes and 20 seconds motion graphics is the outcome of 6 sleepless weeks with some hardcore pumping of online tutorials. I hereby would like to express my gratitude to thank all the online tutors. Especially GreyscaleGorrila which i had referred the most during the struggling period, you guys have the most completed and chilling tutorial for me to watch along the way. Take a moment and enjoy this piece of art of mine and tell me what you guys think. Peace out! The beauty of Nothingness, by Alan Watts. Designed and Produced by Mansell Chan Special thanks to Davinci Resolve colorist - Ooi Yi Jing (Color Grade advisor) Limkokwing University Lecturer - Alvin Chong (Project Supervisor) Limkokwing University of Creative Technology for this wonderful platform. I also would like to express my gratitude to one of my closed friends, Sam who had been giving me support in troubleshooting problems and technical support! .
