What happens after you have cleared the Prelims & Mains of Civil Services exam as well as the Interview? The UPSC conducts different exams for different disciplines like Central services - IAS, IPS, IFS , while for India Services, like Indian Forest Services, different exams are held. The training is conducted all across India as well as abroad. SDM, ADM etc are some of the other posts available after training. Selected IAS candidates undergo training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). Officers of other services proceed to respective staff colleges, such as the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad for Indian Police Service officers and the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun for Indian Forest Service officers. Group-A Central Services officers proceed to their own staff colleges such as Foreign Service Institute, India for Indian Foreign Service officers. At the end of their course + training, they report to the state governments where they are posted.
